Building permit granted for new cooperative housing in Cologno Monzese
Progress continues on the new affordable housing scheme in Cologno Monzese. The Habitat Cologno cooperative has officially received the building permit for the project designed by B22 in partnership with Consorzio Cooperative Lavoratori (CCL).
Beyond addressing affordable living, the project actively engages with the public realm. Under a public-private agreement with the City of Cologno Monzese, the intervention includes the creation and handover of new civic spaces—a public space and a parking area—redefining the entrance to the historic parish church of San Giuliano.
The design focuses on the spatial quality of collective and shared spaces, delivering flexible residential units paired with optimized construction processes. On-site construction work is scheduled to start in September 2026.
