Winning proposal at the invited competition for offices and headquarters at the former Ministry of Finance compound in Rome.

A new travertine façade and new distribution cores are added to existing towers, a landmark designed by Cesare Ligini in the 50s, enhancing sustainable performances within an integrated design process. Outdoor comfort modelling supported the strategy development: buildings are optimized with the addition of tall and vegetated cavedium. The façade varies in each side or part of the building creating a variable daylighting and a stimulating thermal environment.

The two levels beneath the ground – where all the shared facilities are located – connect the compound and the city through a public plinth filled with a green landscape.
